Planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be both exhilarating and overwhelming, especially when it comes to selecting the perfect ticket options. With a variety of choices tailored to different interests and budgets, navigating the ticketing landscape is crucial for maximizing your magical experience.
In this post, we’ll delve into the diverse range of Walt Disney World ticket options available, from single-day admissions to multi-day passes. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned Disney enthusiast, this guide will help you make informed decisions to ensure a truly enchanting visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.

Ticket Types
1 Park Per Day
Walt Disney World Resort has four exciting theme parks to explore: Magic Kingdom park, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. With the “1 Park Per Day” ticket, you can visit one park per day.

Water Park and Sports Option
The “Water Park and Sports Option” allows you to visit one theme park each day of your ticket and one visit per day to one of the following locations:
- Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park
- Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park
- ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
- Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course
- FootGolf at Disney’s Oak Trail
- Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course
- Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course

The number of visits is based on the length of your ticket. For example, a 3-day ticket allows three visits, and a 4-day ticket allows four visits.
Example Itinerary for a 4-Day Water Park and Sports Option:
- Day 1: Visit Magic Kingdom and play miniature golf at Disney’s Fantasia Gardens.
- Day 2: Play golf at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course and explore EPCOT’s World Showcase.
- Day 3: Visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom and swim at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon.
- Day 4: Spend the day at Disney’s Blizzard Beach and finish at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Park Hopper Option
The “Park Hopper Option” allows you to visit multiple parks per day. You could visit one park or all four parks in one day. However, this option does not include admission to any of the water parks or sports venues.
Park Hopper Plus Option
The “Park Hopper Plus Option” combines the “Water Park and Sports Option” with the “Park Hopper Option.” Similar to the “Park Hopper Option,” you can visit as many parks per day as you would like. The number of water park and sports visits is limited to the number of days you purchase. For example, a 5-day Park Hopper Plus Option allows five visits to the water parks.
Military Tickets
Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets
Disney Armed Forces Salute tickets are available to current serving members of the military, individuals 100% medically retired, or those who have completed 20 years of service. Ticket options come in 4-day, 5-day, or 6-day options and are available in either Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus options. These tickets must be purchased by the service member and are limited to six tickets, though Disney can make exceptions for larger families. One ticket during each purchase period must be for the use of the member or spouse, and the rest can be used by anyone else (family or friends). Park reservations are required through the My Disney Experience app or Disney website.

Magic Your Way Tickets
Magic Your Way Tickets are similar to the Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets but come in a wider range of availability from 1 to 10 days. Unlike the Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets, Magic Your Way tickets can be purchased as any of the four ticket types mentioned above.

Ticket Windows
One of the beautiful things about Disney World tickets is that you can use them in many different ways. When planning your Disney World vacation, it’s important to keep in mind your ticket window.

Special Offers
Throughout the year, Disney World offers special promotions on specific tickets. These deals can be quite advantageous, but it’s essential to pay attention to the fine print.
For example, right now Disney World has two special ticket offers:
4-Park Magic Ticket: Guests can purchase a 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket starting at $99 per day, plus tax (total price starting at $396 plus tax). This offer is for date-based tickets with start dates from April 2 through September 22, 2024.

Special Event Tickets
Throughout the year, Disney World hosts special ticketed events like Disney After Hours, H2O Glow After Hours, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and Jollywood Nights.

These events are highly popular and tickets do sell out. Admission to the park is included but only during the event times, so admission anytime prior requires a separate park ticket.
Additionally, many of these events include complimentary food and beverages. For example, Disney After Hours at Hollywood Studios includes complimentary popcorn, ice cream, and bottled beverages. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party has trick-or-treat stations set up around Magic Kingdom. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party includes complimentary Christmas cookies, hot cocoa, egg nog, and hot cider.
